OMG! I do that for fun. Some times I'll dress in super baggy clothes and wear a baseball cap and just wander around in high price retail stores in the mall. I get treated so different. I get followed around, watched, asked if I need help in a snobby-get the F out of here sort of way, and some times asked to leave. When I do this I go with a big roll of cash and once I've had my fun I'll go buy something very nice and whip out the roll. I know they assume it's drug money. It's so funny to see how people really react and how they really do stereo type. The next weekend I'll go back dressed nice and have a completely different experience. |

Perhaps it's your dressing style. What do you wear when you go there? Do you dress down and dirty or do you dress more fashionable and upscale? What is your attitude like? Are you rowdy, noisy, etc? Or do you conduct yourself in a more professional manner? Try looking in the mirror and analyze yourself. What do you see? |

yeah, they do that to me too and then i use my dillards charge card and they're all sweetness. idiots. the ones at my dillards have made retail sales like, a career. it's not just an after school or summer job for them. they're probably on welfare. |

Hah! At the mall where I live, Dillards is the lowest-level store...there is also a Neiman Marcus, a Nordstrom, and some furniture store. I won't go into the Neiman's if I'm dressed like a bum and I'm not carrying some kind of designer bag...the people will look at you funny. However, it amuses me...these are people who work in RETAIL for a living! They can't earn any more than $7 an hour...what gives them the right to be so snotty? ☺ |

Because most all people who work there are conniving bitches and they have to meet a sales quota. I have a friend who works there and that's what she tells me. So if you aren't buying they don't want you to waste their precious time.
This is why Dillard's is going down the toilet....SHOP AT BELK!! It's a much better store anyways. |
