Why don't kids cut grass anymore?
When I was a kid I went around getting lawn mowing jobs to raise extra money. Now kids never knock and ask for that job. Further if I did find a kid to mow what would the going price be for about half an acre, all flat and easy to mow?
hi I'm an eleven year old girl and i cut the grass....i think what your trying to imply is that kids are lazy but actually maybe its just your bad parenting skills not being able to tell your child what to do

We have way too much homework, or we already have a job, and if it's younger kids, they'd rather wait until they're 15 or 16 to get a job and mooch off their parents.
I think a better question is: Why do you want a kid to mow your yard when you could do it yourself?

Good question. I can't even get my kids to mow my yard. Let alone actually make a J.O.B. out of it to make money. BTW I would say $15.00 should be a fair price to pay.

My 11 year old cuts the lawn every week ($10 worth).
It takes him about an hour and he does a half asssed job anyway.
It's the effort that matters.

Some parents do not make there kids do work to get something they really want. It is sad, I make my teens mow the yard with no pay. I do thank them for contributing to the household by doing chores around the house. In that case I would likely get them a pop or something small for helping out, but never a guarantee.
Kids should understand the concept early in my opinion.
You shouldn't have to pay a kid to contribute in your household chores. You don't do kids any favors by handing them what they want with out earning it, but some parents do it anyway.

Evidently they don't need extra spending money. They get all they want from doing nothing. Why would they want to work for it.

Most of them don't have to work for money. They just get it. I could really use someone to come by and mow my lawn, it would maybe take 1/2 hour and I pay 20.00 each time. Pretty sweet deal.
