Sounds great and it's a good thing you have a few years yet to 'fine tune' your idea! You will need a liquor license and those are pricey no matter where you are. If your local area needs a great place to go - when the time comes, and the food is reliably good sounds great! Do be realistic though, food establishments take about 5 full operating years to make a profit, so you will need a rather substantial 'chunk of change' to get going. Good luck - I love the idea and will look for it when I'm next in Wisconsin! |

Depends on your demographic. Do you think this is something the locals wold catch onto. A barn themed restaurant/bar is not that original, but it will come down to the service, atmosphere, and product you provide.

good idea, but you have to remember..the cost of insuring a place like that can be very costly and obtaining a liquor license can be difficult..but then again i live in CA and laws are different here |

Sounds like an idea with great potential. There is a building on Cornell University's Campus called the Big Red Barn. It has been a very successful event venue. Go for it!! |
