start up a business with capital of 10K is not enough. All kind of business work if you know how to make it work.
To start a business is not easy as what u think. Before you start a business you must have a definite GOALsssss.

3 ) Where, when, why, and how to start your business?
4 ) Do you have any experience in business?

I am afraid that with a start up capital of 10K, there is not much business you can do.
Even if you rent a cart like suggested.. upfront you have to pay two month's rental.. which will make you 3-5 K poorer..
And after that, you will need to invest in goods to sell (which you may or may not sell off within a month) and you need to keep another few thousand dollars handy as back up cos most businesses close down because they dun have back up funds.
Anyway, if you can tell me the following, i might be able to help:
- Why do you want to start a business?
- What sort of monthly profit are you looking at?
- What points are important to you when you choose a business?

Although with only a small start-up capita of 10k it's possible to
start a business in Singapore or anywhere else. But whether it will work or not is another thing all together. The question is how to make a business work!. I'm not a business guru but can simply say that in any business
1. "Its not what you want to sell that matters, its what they want
to buy that counts"
2. "profit must be always be more than the expenses" - a loosing
business never succeds.
Take off from here with staying power. There is a saying " it's easy to open a shop but difficult to keep it opened"...Good Luck. |

I presume you are talking in terms of Singapore Dollars. Even if your 10K is in US Dollars, I doubt you can do much with it.
Besides what do you have in mind in respect of business? If you are having an office of your own, the amount is not likely to see your through for more than 2-3 months.
With that amount may be you could rent a stall at a food court. Even then some stall rentals may be as high as S$5-6,000 for a small area. |

try retailing in bugis village. get your goods (fashion, accesorries etc) from nearby countries like Thailand or Batam or even Hongkong. you can try to sell D.I.Y. handicrafts or personalised fashion or accessories. all the best to your business venture!! |
