If he was nice enough to refund your money, then I wouldnt worry about it. IF you think he only said it was broken because it didnt bring enough money......... REMEMBER. when you sell an item, you can set a reserve price. So If he wanted a certain amount for it, the would have set a reserve price. DONT WORRY ABOUT IT! find a different lighter. At least he sent your money back. He didnt do anything wrong in Ebay rules. |

Don't leave him negative feedback - he could be telling the truth in that its broken and he has refunded your money.
Only a total tosser would leave negative feedback in those circumstances. |

Sorry but why do you want something that's broken? If the seller has given you your money back isn't that enough? You could watch what they sell in future, and, if you're right, and the item is put up for sale again - you could report the seller to ebay. Look on ebay to see if anyone sells similar - you can set up a search and get messages sent to you if anything that matches your criteria is listed. You can also place an advert 'Want It Now' where you state what you want and potential sellers can contact you if they have that item to sell. |

You got your money back. Would you have been happier if the seller had sent you broken or damaged merchandise? You could leave negative feedback but that hardly seems appropriate. |

he's within his rights I'm afraid. Ebay allows for this. As long as he's refunded the money there's no recourse for action.

No seller in his right mind would knowingly send out broken/damaged goods. E-bay is built on reputation.
No buyer in his right mind would want to buy broken/damaged goods, never mind specifically request them.
Be thankful he didn't send it out in the post and claim they were damaged in transit. |
