Work at home MOM's what do you do?

Now that I am pregnant I am looking into the future and hoping to find some legit information on working from home. This is for anyone who works from home, how do I get started and what are some things that I could do?

Start your own business or find an employer that agrees to let you telecommute. What you can do depends on your skills. There is no easy money for easy work.

I sell Tupperware. I like because the product sells itself. I just demo what the item does. It is fun. I like to get out of the house a bit and knowing that my husband gets one on one time with the kids. I set the pace, I can do one party a week or more. You can sell on line or do catalog parties. Work it to fit your schedule. There is a start up fee but I earned mine back with the first party I held.

I never had much luck with the "work from home" websites, so for me personally, I opened a preschool in my home. Now my daughter was 4 when I did, so that was nice, she was school age. But I would definitely do it again at any age, knowing what I know now. Any at home child care can be great, you get to spend time with your child, and your child gets to socialize, you can have up to six kids without requiring major licensing (at least in my state) and it justifies buying all those toys we already buy for our kid. There is big business in before and after school care too, and if you get a food license and serve them breakfast- big bucks!!!

I also recommend Tupperware. I am a Director for the Company. Everything mentioned earlier is great info. You can also use your Grand Opening party to pay for your kit so there is no out-of-pocket expense for your kit of products and catalogs. Good luck finding something that will fit you.

Research into home-based businesses. Go to your local library and check out some books on it. Find a business (like childcare, publishing, editing, freelance writing, consulting, etc.) that interests you and start up a business. It can be hard at first, but very rewarding (both financially and personally). Good luck!

Just do your due diligence and listen to the people who have succeeded at a home business when making your decision. There are tons of people on the internet that are out there saying certain home businesses are scams and they're saying that because they tried the business and failed. OR they're just badmouthing competing businesses to promote their own. Either way - I chose not to listen to people who failed at a business because no matter what business I looked into starting, there will always be people who failed. I chose to listen to the people who succeeded.

So here's my advice when looking into a home business: find a company with products that are in demand and get you excited, a company with a turnkey system you can plug into that leverages your time and sign up under a sponsor/advisor that is having incredible results and will train you personally.

There are tons of opportunities out there but be careful of scams and "jobs" that require you to put money up to use their program.

You could setup a blog or website, this is completely free. Once you have added some good content, you can start to earn money from advertising. I know you wont make a huge income from this, but it would get you started working from home.

Pick a topic which you are very interested in, and write a piece on that everyday.

I've given step by step instructions on how to create a website for free, and then add adverts to it so you can start generating income.
