The ones that aren't scams actually require work on your part - and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).

I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc - they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.

There is no free lunch, therefore there will always be some investment involved if you wish to work, this is to ensure there is commitment from you. Therefore, not all are scams, you just need to filter them.
Depends whether you mean working from home totally or working from home (ie contacting prospects) in a flexible manner, before you meet them. One option to consider is MLM business. Although MLM has bad reputation due to some unfortunate cases, there are good ones.

Very few real companies are going to hire a stranger to do work for them with no training or supervision. Most people who work from home either work for themselves, or have worked for a company for many years, and then had a personal situation arise that caused them to need to work from home. If they were trusted long-term employees, and if their jobs could be done remotely, the companies made accommodations.
If you want to earn money, you will have to get a real job. You can't earn a living answering surveys (which really just collect info on you!) on the Internet. No company is going to pay good money for that when they can simply provide a survey link on their receipts and get ACTUAL CUSTOMERS to tell them what they thought of their services or products (for free!).
Legitimate companies are not going to pay to ship materials to you, let you fold them stuff them or address them, and then pay for you to ship them back to them. How would that possibly make financial sense? |

Just because a company has a start-up cost does NOT mean they are a scam. The start-up cost for my business is less than $50 and I receive products that I can resell for over $60. Some of my products I resell for 50% or more in profit. I do it everyday. The key is to have a marketable product, a product that people want, and a company that offers excellent support and training. I have no quotas, no set amount I have to sell every month. Do your research. Look only at companies that spell out exactly what you get for your start-up cost.
