Take a look at Arbonne International.
Growth is huge, but still a baby company.
Main focus is Beauty with a Health and Wellness approach.
They offer all of their company and consultant information on line for your review. So you can see exactly what you need to do to reach each level and how much to expect to be paid.
The products are of spectacular quality and great people in the company.
I reviewed all 3 and I picked Arbonne. I had not heard of them and my sister introduced me to them. I was looking for safe baby products when I had my little girl. My sister told me about them and I loved the baby line. But before I decided to sign up and sell...I thought I should review Avon and Mary Kay. I thought they may have the better program..but after review I felt better about Arbonne. I could read it all on line and thought the Health and Wellness part was more in line with what people shop for today.
Review for yourself and pick the best company for you. I wish you the best. |

I've actually done both. Mary Kay is the type of company that will give you a lot of training and encourage you to participate in events. They will also encourage you to spend money to have stock on your shelves. The products are great! I still use some Mary Kay products that I just can't replace elsewhere. I was a counter manager for Lancome and a lot of MK products compare to the quality at a lesser price.
Avon also has its benefits. It is a lower priced consumable product with gifts and lots of changes to keep people interested in what they can get the next time. YOu dont need to keep stock or spend a lot of money. You also won't get a lot of training time or product info. But you will have a consistent customer base. A lot of Avon products are great to use. I like their scrubs and the lotions and the SPF and a lot more! You will do well selling whatever interests you the most!
Good luck and hope it works out! |

I sell MK and can let you know it's very hands on! You do classes so definately have girl time but it is the inventory that you pay for, not joining. The cost of the start up kit does not even cover the wholesale cost of the items you get because you get approx $400 worth of stuff for $150, and actually that would cost $200 wholesale.
Best of Luck! (If you live near Vancouver let me know as I would be glad to take you with me to one of our orientation meetings as my guest. :) |

I have been an Avon representative for two years. I started in order to stay at home with my daughter. I am now a Unit Leader and love to share this amazing opportunity with others. Avon has a wonderful website for their representatives that includes training courses for all aspects of the business along with webinars to educate us on new products as they are launched.
Where else can you start your own business for only $10? I encourage you to email me from my profile page with any questions you may have. I would love to get you started on your new career. Good luck. |

As a home business trainer what I would suggest is widening the scope of your horizon. I say this because both of the options you're looking at will require you to be away from your home and family and I somehow doubt that's what you want to do?
What I've found is that more and more people are looking to join the on-line work from home businesses where they can enjoy tax benefits, flexible hours and the freedom of being their own boss while earning a residual income....all in the comfort of their home.
Not only is it a lifestyle and source of financial freedom, people are enjoying the added benefit of being able to be around their family more than if they were out "at" a job, something that is once again becoming important to society even though we all need that second income while raising our children.
If that's something that you're looking into, then start figuring out what the current market trend is, find something in that trend that excites you....something you'd really enjoy doing and start researching companies from there.
Of course, you want to beware of that "get rich quick" and "pay us this amount of money and we'll show you how" sort of thing. Run Forest run! You know that's gotta be a bad deal.
Of the companies that appear to be legitimate, check out what they're offering you and if that fits what you want, and if it does, then look even harder - inside and out - at that company. Find out what kind of training and ongoing support they'll offer you as well as that can be such a crucial point to your success.
Once you're satisfied that everything is above board, then go for it! The trend is swinging very quickly to on-line home based businesses and it can be very lucrative |

I have 3 neighbors and I mean neighbors there are 4 house in a row and we all sell Mary Kay. We have no problem I find new customers everyday even in this development since there are no territories you can get customers anywhere you go.
I have never done Avon so I only know what people have told me and I don't see it comparable to Mary Kay as far as girlfriend time do they do that?
I would not let the old saturation thing hold you back we only have 10% of the market so there is lots more to capture and with all the new TV comercial about to air what better time to join. In Mary AKy we encourage and support each other so we don't compete with each other we compete with other companies. The important thing is what do you think of the prodcuts? you sell what you like. |

No matter what you choose it is about working you business. My wife loves Avon, but if she has to she will buy M.K. Now with M.K your profit is better. By the way she is not a consultant, she knows to many people that does both. Have you ever thought about a company called Pre-Paid Legal. Here is the web site if you want to look at another home base business. http://www.ruprotected.net |

And why do you think that paying Avon or Mary Kay money to work for them will give you more free time?
Tell you what, you can pay me instead, and have even more free time. I won't require you to work for me. |
