I found some land I can lease cheap and want to open a Motel there. nfortunately if I build on it they might not renew the lease, so I'm thinking maybe use containers instead of buildings... Do you think that would work? |

I'm seeing a crazy themed hotel. The possibilities are very endless. You could also do something with a mobitel. That is a mobile hotel. You could move all across the country to open lots with your themed containers. I'm pretty sure there would have to be another way out of the container, though. That is a million dollar idea. You're welcome. |

Wouldn't trailers or campers be more mobile and already set-up for living? You might be better off doing something like that.
Or even modular buildings... |

Have you identified a target market that thinks sleeping in freight containers overnight is comfortable? If you have, you can probably sell them swampland in Florida too! LOL
Modular buildings or mobile homes is the way to go if you are concerned that you might need to uproot the business if you lose the land lease. |

I have seen folks build nice homes by connecting semi-truck trailers. I watched them build a hotel one time. They trucked the rooms in, and lifted the entire room off of a trailer, add it to the other rooms and bolted them together. Yes, I would say it would work. People just don't know what can be done with an empty box.
The rooms for this hotel did look like shipping conicals. They were metal, and had no windows. Thinking about it, it would be stronger than a built hotel. |

Um, yeah. Maybe if you were VERY creative and disguised everything well, but what about plumbing, etc? Honestly, it sucks running a Motel these days. Unless you are in a high drug/prostitution area, everyone wants new/modern buildings with a lot of security. If you are in a high drug/prostitution area, YOU are going to want a lot of security, but you can make a killing on these types, if you can stomach it. |

no idea what you mean by containers especially when i am picturing glad wear that def wouldn't work...lol....make sure you ahve everything planned out money wise and everything so you dont end up loosin thousands of dollars though! |
