As I am female I don't have a wife and as I don't smoke or watch much tv, no problem there.
Would work for any money I could ge to feed my children, hope family allowance is still paid, collect kindling from parks and woods for a fire (have actually done this!), pool plants and seeds with neighbours to grow stuff either in the garden or a communal allotment, spend spare time (IF any!!) in the library with the children, warmth and we all read. Can make a meal out of seasonal vegetables, fruit and cheap cuts of meat, have experience of economising and keeping the family healthy. Pool clothes for children via the school and their friends, share warmth and food with neighbours as this cuts down on expense and keeps the children happy.

It is actually against the law for your employer to pay less than the minimum wage laid down by statute irrespective of how badly his business may be doing. That is also real-life Britain! |

i'd keep my options open by looking for alternative employment,with a better wage.it's much easier to get a job,when you've got a job,at least that's what I've found,in my experience |

It is an offence to pay less than the minimum wage. By being a part of this underclass you undermine the economy in general and in reality make the situation worse. You should report the employer, who is clearly prepared to exploit people and break the law to line his own pocket. |
