20,000 pounds a year. How much would that be after tax?
Was looking on the net and found a job in the uk, and the salary was 20,000 .I believe that is before tax (considering that in Britain that's the way they do it) how much would it be after tax?
Is it a decent wage compared to uk salaries?

It also depends on where you living. London is one of the most expensive places to live but if you're outside here it would be an OK wage to live on. Even in London it is ok to live on.

about £1300 a month so times that by 12 and you will have the yearly amount

Its about an average UK wage, you'll take home about £15K after tax.

£20,000? Depends where you're living and if you got rent to pay.You need that at least!Alot of people are on about £13,000 full time but need a 2nd job to survive(20-30 hours more). If in London you may have to consider a part-time job on top!

It will depend on your tax code. ie: married, children etc

24,000 is the average wage in the UK. Most people earn £12-40,000 here. Above £40,000 is an excellent wage. Anything above £20,000 is ok, depending on family commitments etc.

Tax will be around £3000 a year
