The lowest rate is suppose to be £5:75 an hour. |

it really depends where you are
for example
Average London- about £800p/w
Average North West- £300p/w
Average East Anglia- £250p/w
these figures are just based on my own experiences, if you live up north would say you're comfortable, if you're down south, then i'd look elsewhere. |

I reckon so. I've heard the national average is around 17,000 a year! I'm on a full 7.5 less hours than you a week and I take home 212 a week, that's just under 14,000 a year gross. So yeh I'd say you were below average anyways :(
(I live in the Southwest, the wages are crap down here!) |

It is quite low. You dont say what age you are but you may be able to claim working tax credits. If you don't get it already, you should make a claim for it. I have done a calculation with an assumed rent and Council tax and it seems you may be able to claim Council Tax Benefit, but you may not be eligible for housing benefit. Claim your Working Tax credits first though. |

maybe, the Mark should be 15000 ,so you are a bit above, depends on why you ask.if its considering any benefits then ,you have no rights apart from working tax credits if you have children |

Depends if you food shop at M&S or Lidl |

Yes you are relatively speaking - the average wage is around 25k |

A little bit yeah, but it depends where you live in the UK, people who work in London earn alot more! But then living in london is alot dearer! |
|

you bet! I'm not saying it's unusual, but it is definitely a low income. |

That's £6.50 an hour and the minimum wage for adults is £5.73 an hour,so its pretty poor pay. However you could reduce your hours to 30 a week and only lose £35 ,working tax credits give anyone working 30 hours an income of £200 a week, maybe worth considering depending upon your circumstances |

I would say so yes but its all relative. I think the average wage in UK is £25k per annum and the lowest wage for full time work would be about 10k |
