Just wait until you start and then ask them, it's unlikely that they pay cash as this would be a nightmare in the accounts department for them to have to count out all of that money for everyone every month and I also doubt that they would pay by cheque but this is obviously a better option if they are not paying by BACS. It does seem very strange that they aren't going to pay you by BACS as this is the easiest and quickest method for companies nowadays but if you don't want to quiz them about it then just wait until you get your first lot of pay and see what happens, if there is no tax taken out then ask them then |

You should ask as soon as possible.No employer will give you a funny look or consider you being not too bright.If they do not want your account number,I would immediatly ask why not.If the employers answer is not a good one,get out fast before wasting your time! |

I'm sure they will ask for your bank details once you start to pay your wages into the bank. If not then just ask them how you get paid. Good luck in your new job! |

Congratulations.
That's very strange. Do you have to work a month in hand at all? Despite the fact you are desperate for the job, you still have a right to the information. I should imagine you will be given your contract and other info on your start day when they take your P45. check your contact carefully before you sign. Its unlikely they will pay you cash as it is more costly for the firm and a much greater liability, but it is possible. All tax and N/I info should be included on your first wage slip. If it isn't then you need to start asking questions. Good Luck.x |

You do need to ask at this stage, you would be a fool not to. Then you can enjoy doing your job, instead of half hearted wondering, bring negatives vibres bad move. Ask them now. If they avoid or do not give you a straight answer.

I wouldnt worry its common practise they will ask you for your bank details and your p45 if you have one when they are due to pay you. |

Ask. They wont not hire you because you asked. Also definitely check the tax situation. You dont want to get into trouble cos they havent paid it. |
