Life is Beautiful.
Already filed taxes, "expected date" to receive the refund keeps changing...?
My husband and I already filed are taxes online. It was excepted on the 19th of January and when I checked the "where's my return" site from the IRS it said to expect it by January 30th. Well, I checked it yesterday to see if it had changed and it said "you should expect your return by February 3rd" -- now TODAY I checked it and it said, "by February 10th".... what the heck?

It supposed to be automatically deposited into my Wachovia Checking account.

Has anyone else had this happen? Why do you think this is happening? Should I still expect it by the first date that was given to me?

I have seen so many people with this same problem, that I am beginning to think maybe they are just having technical problems or something, well at least i hope so, because my date changed as well.

Mine was accepted the 19th too. But Mine was showing the Feb 3, 2009 and now it says the Feb 10, 2009..I wonder if it's a error.

johnson.bertha@ymail.com
I notice that mine changed from the 3rd to the 10th as well this morning. And you cant get tru on the phone line either. This is making me nervouse because Santa Barbara bank and trust still says Jan 30th.. I filed for my son too and his still says the 3rd which is what really makes me think.. I will check again tomorrow morning for changes. Heck the 30th is 3 days away.. I'm worried. I really need this money!!

i checked the irs site and it had stated the 3rd of feb on refund now it says 10th why and sbbt has no record at all can anyone tell me why this is

Mine is working well on the website..but I thought I would call the hot line and it says call cannot be completed at this time due to tech difficulties

That happened to my daughter last year and it took her six months to get her refund back. The IRS is in control and there is not much you can do but wait and keep checking.

v b
The IRS does multiple layers of checking to see that the tax return is processed correctly.

The first step, verifying name, age, SSN was all that was done 1/19.

The step that is slowing everyone down right now are the sheer number of errors made on the RRC. Any value other than $0 (eg, let the IRS calculate it) is being verified.

Try calling the hotline 1-800-829-1954 they have been changing them around its a big mind control game lol try the hotline alot have went to the 10th but are now changing back to the 3rd

yes, expect it on the 30th,but keep in mind it may take your bank a day or 2 to process your deposit.

I checked mine today too and I did mine on Taxactonline.com. Taxact said January 30th, but the website said February 3rd. I checked again today and taxact still says january 30th and NOW the irs website says February 10th! It was accepted January 20th, so the 10 day rule for efile is a bit off. I am glad that I am getting a refund though!

Not sure if I can fully answer your question but Efile.com has a estimated dates on when you should receive your refund.

I hope this information helps!
