If you had your initial tax refund direct deposited, then you should have your rebate today, that is if the last 2 digits of your SSN are between 20-40. Now if you paid preparation fees to e-file your taxes, and/or you got a loan/rapid refund, then you won't get your money til next month as a papr check. |

The holdup is the processing of 130,000,000 rebate payments and an even greater number of tax returns. Your payment may be released this evening if you're lucky and would generally be in your account on Monday or Tuesday.
The published schedule is ONLY an estimate. The IRS says to wait at least 2 weeks from the scheduled date before contacting them. |

I wish I had an answer for you, but I am in the same boat as you. I have not received mine yet and I did direct deposit and my ss # is 31 and don't owe any taxes. The IRS website was no help and the phone message is pointless. I am very frustrated, I know I am not alone when you are relying on this rebate to help pay bills. I should know better than to count on something before it actually happens. |

Some banks take two or three days longer to process electronic transactions than other banks do - Add to that the tremendous volume of transactions, and I'll bet the banking systems all over the country are backlogged or overloaded. |

I received aq letter about the stimulus payment after I received the payment. The letter said that if I did not receive my payment within sixty days of receiving the letter, I should call the 800 number in the letter. Maybe you called too soon, or maybe it hasn't yet posted to your account. |

If Where's my Stimulus Payment says it should be in today, then it will probably turn up shortly - good luck. If you are just relying on the general generic schedule and Where's My Stimulus Payment doesn't have any info for you, it's likely that you are not eligible for direct deposit and are getting a paper check. |

If your tax preparer took out the fees for preparing your tax refund OR took out the electronic filing fee from your tax return, then you will get your check when the paper checks go out. Also, if you had your tax refund divided up and put into more than one account, this will lead to a paper check as well.
If you paid all fees up front in cash or out of your checking account, then the money should be direct deposited today. |

I just got off the phone with the irs, because we were suppose to get ours today. The answer I got was they had a issue with the computer system and it crashed or something and those of us who were suppose to get ours today it will be delayed by up to 30 days! |
