Hs the taxation of alcohol and smoking have created an ever increasing role in governmental tax revenues. Are minority groups of addicted or dumb people disproportionally taxed on the premise
of discouraging unhealthy behavior? And how high will these go? Is it Fair? Now state and federal legislators are looking at the problem of obesity and taxing foods the government
feels are contributing? Will you accept a 5 cent/ounce tax on soda pop? We already accept a 5 cent per can/bottle tax on alcohol and soda (to promote recycling). Tax candy? Tax pizza? Legalize pot
for the revenue it might bring in?
