Most states have a sales tax, and a lot of states have an income tax. New Hampshire comes closest to having none of them. They don't have a sales tax, and while they don't have an income tax, they do have a tax on interest and dividends, and a business profits and business enterprise tax. |

Most states have both.
The states with no income tax make up for by having a higher sales tax and higher property taxes. The likewise is true. States with no sales tax generally have higher income taxes. |

Most have both. Alaska doesn't have either. New Hampshire doesn't have a sales tax, and only has income tax on dividends and interest, not on wages. |

New Hampshire has neither an income or a sales tax. Although it does tax interest, dividends, business profits, and restaurant meals. But it has an insanely high state property tax.
Alaska also has neither an income or a sales tax. It profits from royalties from the oil drilled there.
Most states have both sales and income tax. Those that don't have other ways to derive income. |

Yes there is income and sales tax in Oklahoma, they get you both ways. I couldn't imagine a state with neither, everyone would live there LOL |
