Are there US states w/ both income tax and sales tax? are there any US states with neither?
just wondering

Most states have a sales tax, and a lot of states have an income tax. New Hampshire comes closest to having none of them. They don't have a sales tax, and while they don't have an income tax, they do have a tax on interest and dividends, and a business profits and business enterprise tax.

Taxachuetts has both nh has no sales tax

Most states have both.

The states with no income tax make up for by having a higher sales tax and higher property taxes. The likewise is true. States with no sales tax generally have higher income taxes.

Most have both. Alaska doesn't have either. New Hampshire doesn't have a sales tax, and only has income tax on dividends and interest, not on wages.

New Hampshire has neither an income or a sales tax. Although it does tax interest, dividends, business profits, and restaurant meals. But it has an insanely high state property tax.

Alaska also has neither an income or a sales tax. It profits from royalties from the oil drilled there.

Most states have both sales and income tax. Those that don't have other ways to derive income.

Yes there is income and sales tax in Oklahoma, they get you both ways. I couldn't imagine a state with neither, everyone would live there LOL
