That information is TOTALLY FALSE. Period!
Title 26 of the US Code quite plainly lays out the rules for the US Income Tax. It's all that you really need to know. What Congress decides to use the money for isn't an issue, whether it's trash collection or nukes doesn't affect your tax liability 2 cents.
There are idiots around who claim that either the Income Tax is illegal, or that the 16th Amendment wasn't properly ratified, or that it's strictly voluntary, etc. There are volumes of both legislation and case law that say otherwise, however, and that's all that matters to you.
Bear in mind that most of these Tax Kooks are convicted FELONS and many of them are in prison right now. If you wish to take tax advice from a convicted felon, knock yourself out. If you don't file your returns when required and pay your taxes when due, you'll likely be joining them eventually. It's your choice; personally, I like my freedom so I'll pay my taxes. |

^Not paying your income tax is a federal offense, if your caught you will fined. You can lose your house and/or other personnel property, your credit will be destroyed and you can end up in the federal penitentiary. So remember like it or not we all end up paying one way or another. |
