Are you agree with the green tax?

I agree that something has to be done to reduce the damage we are doing to planet earth. However I don't think that we in the UK are in a position to make any noticeable changes in the reduction of the damage being done. The big polluters have to take more responsibility, in particular China & America. As long as America has cheap fuel (Gas and Oil) then they are going to continue poluting at a much higher rate than the average UK consumer. Something has to be done and soon but it has to be WorldWide, not just some small sections of the population being penalised for a global problem

for myself or the average person on the street? NO

for the environment and community? it's probably a good idea, yes

No we pay too much allready - we just need to do more ourselves we dont need the goverment to tell us!

no something needs to be done but the government allows lots of companies to create waste and profit from it . same world wide. they need to do something before taxing us again

migelito
Its going to take a massive cultural change to prevent the 'apocalypse' and if its as close as the government would have us believe, its too late.

no taxing the people will not make a lot of difference. the government and industry should be investing in greener fuels which is the only long term solution in combating global warming.

PAUL F
I agree with BobC up to a point. If every one did a little it would make a lot. We must lead by example and that means Government should take the lead and act responsibly within the current tax system, not tax us into our graves. Gov offices lights burn all night, office heating is turned up high and windows are wide open, large cars are used to take one minister a few yards, (all the entourage should get into the same car rather than a convoy), Planning is making us drive more by closing Post Offices and local shops and not providing the alternatives in accessible places (huge shopping "Parks" where being on foot is not an option) etc etc etc

Joined up thinking is required - not taxation

Mathew
No. The government can't fix everything.
