After Cutting Jobs At The BBC Is It Time For The People Of Britain To Say No To The Licence Fee
I For One Am Stopping My Direct Debit Payments
Why Do We Pay For Watching Repeats |

We pay because the Government wants it that way.
There seems to be a snobbishness about the so called independence of the BBC.
What's the point of independence when all they broadcast is the Vicar Of Bloody Dibley and bugger all else.
All you say is totally correct. For the price of BBC you could get a SKY package and have choice and more importantly can cancel if you don't like it. |

The BBC is a pain in the butt. It thinks it is the guardian of UK culture. It is no such thing and never has been.
It, the BBC, thinks its job is to educate us when what we want is to be entertained.
Time to get rid of the BBC for once and for all.
They confessed this year to having swindled millions of children by fixing the Blue Peter prise and gave it to someone working at the BBC.
For all we know this could have been going on for forty years or more. I'm not happy with their weak and ineffectual 'sorry'. Not good enough. They should give millions to Gt Ormond Street Children's Hospital or something.
The future of TV is multi-channel and 'sponsored' by business. Like for example "Corrie" gets sponsored but we have to pay to watch Ender Benders. Time for a change.
Goodbye BBC forever. Or at any rate your over priced TV licences fee now costing more than three weeks worth of food for us pensioners.
Must we now starve just to watch TV at home? We cannot afford the pub any more because your license fee is too big.
Damn the BBC. |

Quite Right. The license is a tax on the poor. Why is everything else being privatised and the BBC is the odd one out.
Its been a gravy train for too long, let them stand on their own feet they way every other organisation and individual has to. |

Yeah i moved from the UK to the US like 16 years ago and people still can't belive you have to have a liscence to watch tv, it's insane... |

This must be the only country that charges the people of the UK for having a TV.
BBC programmes once every blue moon come up with something really worth watching. Unfortunately the blue moon is very, very rare.
Scrapping the Licence will be hard to though, it`s a nice way of taxing the people of the UK.
But, we are not forced to pay it, nudge, nudge, wink, wink :-) |

Come off it, they have stripped people of their privacy,
Openly shamed individual postcoded households on billboards.
It is known hey assume guilt and pursue people throught teh courts despite their victims not even having a TV!
No figures have to be given, but we know logically that they kill by pressure and stress, they turn people to depression and fear and a few to suicide, they close down economic possibility by the economic pressure of what is effectively a flat-rate tax, they end any effective idea of freedom by allowing invasion of personal space over what is not even a personal tax.
It is arguable that
they deliberately create a level of abuse and illegailty that has no reason and pursue it far greater than they do individual property crime,
They killa nd kill again. Are you just going to stop? |

I don't mind them charging from their channels because they're crap and I rarely watch them anyway.....what I do care about is them charging for the privilege of owning a tv to watch non bbc channels....or playing video games on your tv neither of which have anything to do with the bbc. It's not as if tv's are even the same as they use to be....there's plasma, LCD, and projectors nowadays and the technology of CRT is slowly being faded out.
I don't think they can do anything to you if you don't have a license without them actually coming into your house and seeing the tv on for themselves.....so long as you don't let them in you should be fine. But then they pose as gas men and the like to come in and read your meter. I think we should be allowed to sue them for our money back. |

1. Scrap the licence fee.
2.Scrap Wogan.
3. Scrap half the radio stations.
4. Scrap half the digital TV stations and let someone have the channels with decent content.
5. Sell Top Gear around the world and buy in some decent programs with the cash raised.
6. Put public service announcements between programs and charge government departments for doing so. |
