No, You can't claim yourself:) |

No, you cannot. The instructions are explicitly clear on that.
You can never claim yourself as a "dependent" at any time. When your parents claim you as a dependent, you lose your PERSONAL exemption. |

If your mother is eligible to claim you, then no, you can't also take an exemption for yourself. You'd check the box on your return that says that you can be claimed as a dependent.
If you lived with her for over half the year, and you didn't provide more than half of your own support, then she can claim you. |

No. If someone else has claimed you as a dependent, you will file your taxes with zero exemptions.
If your income consists of less than $5,150 in wages, you will owe no federal tax and will get all of your withholding back. |

no, you can only be a dependant for one person....the first question on your tax return is usually "can anyone else claim you as a dependant?" |

NO
DON'T EVEN TRY IT
THIS IS THE #1 THING THEY LOOK FOR---SAME DEPENDANT ON TWO TAX RETURNS.
IF YOU TRY THIS, YOU WILL BE IN COURT, AND YOU OR YOUR MOTHER WILL BE CONVICTED. PERIOD.
didn't mean to shout, but, geez, this is huge. Glad you asked---Brian |

You cannot claim your self as a dependant. You must claim single 1, and also file your taxes regularly even though she may get a tax return for you. If you are working at the time then you must file your taxes even if she is also claiming you. |
