LIC is worst if your motive is investment. Don't mix investment & insurance. You will not get benifit but your agent & LIC will make bucks.
At most ,purchase a term insurance policy, & I will advice you to purchase it from SBI Life as it is cheapest.
Rest you should invest in Tax saving mutual fund & PPF/NSC. |

Investing such a huge amount in LIC do not make any sense. Better diversify your portfolio and invest in mutual funds.
Today mutual funds also provide insurance cover to their unit holders. So you must invest according to your age profile |

ya off course investing in LIC is very good but u consult LIC agents and study a plan which u want to invest & which is good for u u will get 20 % rebate on the total premium amount u paid during the year . even though please consult LIC agents |

You can save the entire 1 lakh in LIC. But it is of no use. The returns on it is almost nothing. For safety of your family you can plan some good amount. But do not invest much in LIC. You can go for NSC which is 6 years duration, Bank FD with 80c benefit for 5 years, Some amount in tax savings mutual fund. Like this. Do not go for full LIC. If you fully invest in LIC, say 1 lakh premium for 20 years. You will get around 25 lakhs after 20 years. Now you may get one flat for 25 lakhs in out side of city, after 20 years you cannot even a hut for that 25 lakhs.

Yes , either you can invest 1 lakh as saving towards LIC premium together with other savings or you can invest 1 lakh only in LIC premium to get full tax rebate. |
