U can access ur card of HDFC in any atm of SBI totally free of cost.

Yes, you will be charged for using foreign cards and that too applicable if your card is International one such as VISA.

Hi, Tushar.
The answer is YES!

But, it is not the way in which you think it works.
While withdrawing money from SBI ATM you will be deducted 20 rupees as surcharge (not 50 as mentioned by some users). But, this amount 20 rupees which be debited back to your account by HDFC in 2 or 3 days.

I am telling you this out of my own experience.
I am a HDFC bank user and have been using SBI ATM near my house to with draw money.

you will get some service charges Rs 65 per cash withdrawal

well as far as i know, there are charges for checking account details as well as for cash withdrawal with HDFC card in an SBI ATM. with a HDFC card you can definitely check account details and withdraw cash. the charges vary for mere checking like rs.25/- and for cash withdrawal rs.50/- these charges are definitely a pincher for indian mindset.

these rules apply for any and every bank. hence, it is suggested to transact only in the card issuing bank ATM to avoid any unnecessary charges. if it is a dire situation then you can use SBI ATM, in this case, otherwise its better to go the extra mile to transact in a HDFC exclusive ATM.

rajesh r seems to speak out of experience. i never did this sort of a transaction anytime. so count me out. the ground rule is YES there are charges.

You can't Use your SBI ATM debit card to withdraw money from HDFC bank without any charges, but their is a way to withdraw money from HDFC without charges.
steps:
1. First check your account with SBI , is it regular account or salaried account
2.if it is regular account convert that it to your salary account by asking your employer to change it.
3.ask your employer to deposit the money into SBI account( salary account created by you)
4. Now you can withdraw money form HDFC account with out charges ,, but
5. first the your bank with charge the amount for withdrawal and later it will collect from your employer( provided)
6. if not the SBI can forgive your charges as a base of customer relationship.

please check the facility with your bank as well as with your employer ............. Have a nice day
