NO YOU WOULD EVENTUALLY HAVE TO PAY THE IRS SINCE YOU are self-employed |

Not only "can" you but you "must" (assuming that your income is over $400 for the year......) |

Yes you can , and should. The employer may be reporting your income and if you don't report on your side, the IRS will come down on you hard. The IRS has very strict and costly penalties and interest on top of penalties for not reporting. And yes, they will find you and yes they will make your life miserable. |

You should declare it to IRS if you are a fool. ( Bush needs it to pay for the war in Iraq). |

YEP< and she MUST file if she's receiving more than $400 in self-employment. If it's related, the cash payments are included in the self-employment. You file a Schedule C and reduce the income received by your related expenses. Make sure to gather the relevant records.
Income is to be reported whether cash or check. Al Capone got caught not for moonshine or murder, but tax evasion. |

If you have a business license and don't file, the IRS will know and eventually come after you. So the best thing to do is file. You can claim a loss for up to 3 years; after that your "business" is considered a hobby and you will no longer be able to claim any expenses or anything from it.
If you are self-employed but don't have a license or anything, no one knows. |

Yes, and you're supposed to report all income. Of course, if you (er, she) don't, I won't tell anyone... |
