Can a single mother that doesnt work who claims income support, and child benefit, claim child tax credits???

Dimples
Yes it should be awarded automatically as child tax credits is given to everyone. And CTC has actually replaced some of your income support. A few years ago i was receiving appx £120 per week including child ben from Income Support, now it is only £59.15 and the rest is made up from Tax credits. If you are not already receiving them get on to HMRC asap.

Bill (Wales)
Let me understand this a bit more......
You are asking how can you sponge a bit more from us hardworking people?
ie; Claim "Tax" credits for a tax that you don't pay?
Novel idea.

Charlene
I imagine so yes. call your local council. it's just childless people that get screwed every day by the tax man.

People, she is a single mother, maybe she doesn't have time to work if her child is only young! Think before you judge, she might actually need these benefits unlike the other scroungers!

Like other people have said, I think you have to pay tax before you can get tax credit.

you should be ashamed of yourself, you brazen tart.
