Should think so.The employer will deduct the necessary from your wages, whilst your self employed earnings will go through your accounts.

Yes. My brother in law is self employed as an attorney and also employed by a auction company.

Yeah, if you run your own business (for example in the evenings or weekends) as well as being employed by a company during the week.

Yes.
As long as you are declaring both sets of income on your tax return.
You'll be on PAYE on your employed job but have to do a tax return for your self employed thing. Both sets of income will have to go on the tax return. They take into account the tax you have paid through PAYE

Yes people can be both employed and self-employed at the same time.

Yes, you can be, but you can't decide what status you will be at a certain source of income, as criteria have to be met. Just because you are, say, self-employed at one source of income doesn't mean to say you will be at another source. If you are in any doubt, you can contact the Status Inspector via your local tax office.

Mr.Olivera
yep my father works for someone and at the same time he has his own company so i believe that it can be done. :-)

Yes, when Inland Revenue sends your self-assessment forms (presuming you're in UK), for your employed income, you ask them to send you pages for your self-employed income too.

However, remember, they've brought in some law now where you have to declare yourself as self-employed within a certain time of becoming so or they fine you £100 or somesuch.
