NO NO NO NO NO - Your stub might not have the same info as your w-2 and if you enter wrong info - if could delay any refunds or incur an audit - IRS does not begin processing returns until mid January at the earliest anyway, so there's not point

You can do your taxes but there is a date at which they start processing them and that is somewhere in mid January, Last year it was on January 11th.

You can't file without the w-2 but places like H&R block do anticipation loans based on you last paycheck.
They charge a bit, I would rather wait until I get the w-2 and file right away.

i belive you also need your employer id # and the earlist you can file online is jan 16 2009 if you are filing thru h&r block you may be able to do it earlier check the irs website www.irs.gov
