Yes, electronically.

But I would wait to be sure the figures are exact. Any bonuses or money paid to you may be on your W-2, but not your last pay stub. You also need all of you employers Federal and State Id numbers. Also, you have to have the bank income statements for interest, school tuition forms, etc if you want to lower your tax liability.

It's better to wait for all of your paperwork as it legally has to be sent out by January 31st.

Patrick M
99% of the companies won't be able to use your paystub for that purpose. and if they could it wont be much help.Yes it has your year to date but there is other info only your W2 has on it that the company who does your taxes need like employer ID # . It wont hurt to try but you might not get all your entitled to. Keep that in mind. Good luck.

Yes you can if you do electronic filling, remember that you can do to that before 1/16/2007.

No, you can more than likely calculate your taxes and refund if you have one, but you will have to wait for mailing (W-2 has to be attached) or electronic filing as well.

When filing electronically taxpayers must provide Forms W-2, W-2G, and 1099-R to the Authorized IRS e-file Provider before the Provider sends the electronic return to the IRS. Providers are prohibited from submitting electronic returns to the IRS prior to receipt of all Forms W-2, W-2G, and 1099-R from the taxpayer. Taxpayers filing electronic returns using a personal computer enter the data from the forms into the electronic filing software themselves. This is similar to the attachment of Forms W-2, W-2G, and 1099-R to the face of paper tax returns.

In Pennsylvania, at "certain" tax companies will let you file with your last check stub. I know because I am in the same situation. I haven't recieved a W2 form yet so I'm going to try to use my last check stub at a private tax return agency. You still have to submit a W2 form when you do get it but it really depends on what state you live in. Try to file with it anyway just in case you can use your checkstub. Hope this is helpful.

MsFancy
You can figure out your taxes but you have to attach your w2's to your return when you send it in.

Michael C
You can start the process but you can't submit until you have your W-2. If you don't know what type of payroll deductions affect your taxable wages it is best to wait because it changes depending if you have medical, dental, vision, or 401K deductions. As a note, Federal law requires that your company provide you with your W-2 by January 31st.

I know, I know!!!!
you need w2. your employers federal and state id #'s are not on your checkstub.

ogrendle
Wait you MUST submit the form from your employer. They have to get it to you between 12/31 and 1/31 each year

godotney
wait for your w2. you have to send in copies with your forms. legally they have to be mailed by jan 31st.
