i had this problem this year and last i moved last year so they sent it this year to my old addresss but this is a small town and the postman knows where i moved and i got it today. now last year when i filed i didnt receive my w2 at all and i called the company and told them and they had me sign a paper requesting they send my w2 to hnr block and why and they sent it over within hours so this would be my suggestionbut you have to send one of those papers by fax to the company good luck tax time is bad for this reason jess

It will forward to you, since when you move, you fill out the mail forwarding form at the post office.

did you do that? if not, then it will be returned to your employer and you can get it from them.

or just ask them now for a copy, they will make a copy of their record and give it to you, it's no problem

Paty D
You have to call the employer and ask him for a copy ´cause theres no other option, The Irs doesn´t gonna give you any copy, Your employer cannot deny you a copy.

I WOULD DEFINITELY TRY THE H AND R BLOCK .COM AND LOOK AT HELP OR CAL UR LOCAL TAX SERVICE IN UR AREA AND ASK THEM.THEY WOULD DEFINITELY KNOW OR THE POSTAL SERVICE

JoJoOz
That depends. Does the company or payroll provider participate in electronic W-2s? If so, you can just file your taxes, and your preparer (or preparer software) can locate it online for you.

You can also check with the company to see if it was returned to them. They may also, if they use a payroll service like ADP or Paychex, be able to provide a photocopy of it that you can use just like your regular W-2. If not, there really is no way to get it ASAP. The company will have to issue a W-2 copy to you.
