You owe them in your married name. Just wondering how far they would go, please if you know, share your knowledge =)

Yes
Any account tied to you they can take from.

DeeDee
they search for your social security number, not just the name.

Judy1
Sure they can, and will.

And the bank will withhold 28% of any interest because your name and SSN don't match IRS records....

Yes. If you owe them, you owe them regardless of which name you're hiding under.

mrwizard9090
unless you changed social security numbers when you got married, they can find you.

Ms. Angel..
Yes IRS can levy your bank account regardless of what name you use.
The only time IRS levies is when you ignore the IRS and do not respond to the Balance Due notices. Why not just request an installment agreement using Form 9465 instead of having IRS levy your bank account, your wages etc.

IRS can levy on all your property or rights to property to collect delinquent taxes. A bank account in your maiden name or your married name is your property.

Yes, the IRS can take any money from your bank account. Once the IRS becomes aware of the bank account either from you or their internal searches they can take up to the amount of tax you and/or your husband owe.
