Maybe.
Out of pocket medical expenses can be claimed if the total exceeds 7.5% of your income and you have enough deductions to itemize.
Note: Don't forget the mileage back and forth to the doctor. |

You can claim a tax deduction for medical expenses, however this is determined as a percent of your total income and you have to reach a minimum threshhold. So if you have large medical bills, you may be able to claim them. Definitely check with your accountant. |

All expenses you mention are deductible medical expenses. Get your receipts together. You may also deduct prescriptions and transportation costs. |

Yes, but in most cases unless you have more than the standard deduction then it is not worth it. I would definitely look into it though because I am very aware of the cost of trying to get pregnant. Also if you are a home owner then you can deduct the interest that you paid on your home for the year. There are lots of things that are tax deductable if you saved the reciepts!!! |

Yes those are deductible medical expenses as long as they aren't reimbursed. You only get to deduct them though if you itemize, and even then only the amount that's over 7.5% of your income. |

Well, I live in Texas, and as long as your medical bills add up to 7.5% or more of your gross income, you can. I don't know how it is there, but you can go to www.irs.gov and probably find out! Good luck HoneyB, I hope you get a 2009 baby!! |

Praying for a 2009 baby!

Hey! My MIL works for H&R Block. She says it depends on your total income and what tax bracket your're in. You also have to have a certain amount in medical bills to even be eligible to claim. You can go ahead and call your accountant before you get your W2's and they should be able to tell you what the requirements are. |

Yes, you can include in your total for unreimbursed medical expenses. The total expense will have to meet a certain percentage of your income in order to be a deduction though. I think it is 7.5%, but I'm not positive Obviously your accountant will know that for sure. All those expenses you mentioned can be included though, so bring those receipts with you!! |
