Hi, your car insurance is part of your job, without car insurance you would not have a job as a driving instructor so yes you can claim this as an expense, however if you also use the car for personal use you may not be able to claim all of it as an expense |

Do you have a business auto policy? If so then maybe. If you only have a personal auto policy then no. |

I was going to yell no until I saw your job - as a driving instructor, keeping the vehicle safe and properly documented should be considered legitimate business expenses.
I'm in the States and that's my take on it - no idea in the UK.
