not really beacuse you may have had a savings account that had interest doctor bills mortgage payments or even kids or selling stock. Thats why the IRS will not allow any filings until mid feburary. |

Guessing with the IRS is very much like the old saying, "it's not nice to fool mother nature."
This is seem somewhat humorous, but it's very true.
If you make a mistake, the IRS takes everything owed immediately.
If the IRS makes a mistake and owes you, it takes forever to get it back.
Don't guesstimate, but get the needed paperwork from your employer. If need be, it's worth paying a couple dollars to ensure you have the correct paperwork, instead of a paystub for one pay period. |

Yes you can. All you need are the proper forms and to sit down and do it. All your W2 is for is to turn into the IRS as proof of your earnings with you Tax form. You don;t need it just to estimate. |

Yes, but you better hang on to that pay stub. But this is not really necessary because your W-2 form has all the information you need as far as wages and other compensation. |

Probably -
1. do you know your filing status?
2. did you have only 1 job? you'll need last pay check from each job
3. did you draw unemployment? interest income from any type of a bank account, etc?
4. do you know how many dependents you can claim? is it just you for the year?
5. do you know if you will itemize deductions? - medical bills, mortgage interest, property taxes, etc or just take the standard deduction.
