If you got a letter, call or email telling you that you won the UK lottery, it's a SCAM - don't respond.

Coincidentally, I just got an email yesterday that I had won a million dollars in that lottery. I get them several times a month.

Did you play?If you didn`t how can you win?Better not allow greed to lead you into a scammer`s web.In the last week alone i`ve received 3 emails telling me i won 851,000 on the online lottery draw for 4+ million pounds which i was sharing with 4others.they talked about confidentiality ie,don`t tell anyone,call a named so and so immediately to claim your money and fill in this claim form and send it to us.
All they were trying to do is to get your details which they do not have already-it`s spam and that`s why they didn`t even have your email address.(check if it was actually addressed to you-i`m sure it wasn`t.Also if you`re stupid enough to give them your details,you leave yourself open to identity theft by them or those they sell them to.They also give you a time limit (usually 14 days)within which to claim-it`s a lie.They create the sense of urgency to prevent you from thinking properly and forcing your hand.
On the other hand,the real Camelot Group`s lotteries don`t have sweepstakes or prizedraws on the internet.If you play online,and win,then they will inform you.You shopuld then cross-check your numbers to confirm.The time limit for claiming is 180days ie 6months and they never ask you for personal details unless you were the one who called them.Nobody asks you to contact anyone or pay anything upfront.Next time you receive such stupid mail simply report it as spam so the fraudsters sending them can be dealt with.They make millions every year fropm people like you who are unfortunate enough to fall for their tricks.There`s no approved bank.When there are hundreds of big banks in the uk why would they use such an unknown one.They pay winners with cheques which you then pay into your own account so you have no business with their bank at all.

It's a scam. The bank may or may not exist. But nobody is running a lottery to give huge amounts of money to the owner of a mail address picked up at random.

Forget about it. It is a scam!! Hope you didn't fall for it????????
