You need to go to H & R Block! They are the BEST! They can help you file your extension and set it up for you estimated payments so that you don't owe next year. Just because you file an extension, does NOT mean that you defer your payment to the IRS. 90% of the bal due is required to be sent to the IRS by April 17, 2007 (usally due on April 15). There will be interest and penalties if this is not sent on time. At least FILE your taxes on time so that you won't have an extra penalty for filling late. Contact your local H & R Block or go to hrblock.com to find your nearest office. |

File the return on time anyway - you'll avoid late-filing penalties.
If you file your return but don't pay, the IRS will contact you to set up a payment plan, or you can just call them to set one up. |

You'll have to request a payment plan from the IRS. Filing an extension isn't the way to go, because the IRS will still expect full payment, and the extensions aren't that long. |

i believe you can contact the IRS and schedule a payment schedule....but even though you make a schedule...try your best to double up on payments and pay it off as fast as you can.....the IRS has very high interest...... |

My husband owes, not as much as you do though. Anyways he just sent in his paperwork so it would be in on time. There is a number on the back of the tax books (you can get at the library) you can call them to set up payments. You will want to pay it ASAP or they will kill you with interest. |
