u will get child benefit for a child/children irrespective of working/not working and hours, presuming of course ur british or entitled to live here and pay tax/nat ins. the current rate is £17 odd for the first child and £11 odd for second and subsequent. it goes up a few pence every april. Apart from that u will get child tax credit and which is based on hrs worked and income u may also be entitled to working tax credit this will then entitle u to further benefits such as free prescriptions, dentistry, etc. U can calcuate how much u would get by searching child tax credit u get the inland revenue page there is there a page where u can enter all yr info to see if u qualify, u can just use it to calculate u dont have to go ahead with the application even tho u have put all yr info in. good luck. ps also if ur working u will of course be entitled to maternity benefits when u finish work. again there should be info on website to help u.

Child benefit about £16 a week and probably Child Tax Credit & Working Tax credit it wont be much but you'll be ok.

you will get child benefit whether you work or not after having your baby.
think child benefit for one child is something like £72 per month - but after the baby is born you may be entitled to working family tax credit.

Everyone gets child benefit. its about £17.50 a week.

You will probably be entitled to child tax credits and working tax credits too. You may also get help towards rent if you live in rented acomodation.

Child Benefit is approx £18.00 for the first child. and this isnt means tested. anyone is entitled.

If you are cohabiting, They would obviously take his income into account.

You may be entitled to Child Tax Credit, but I think the entitlements are tailored to each individual case. Here are a few links that may be of help to you
