We pay ВЈ150 per month for a grotty 3 bed council house in one of the worst areas in Stirling, Scotland. We don't even get our bins emptied regularly for that and have virtually no street lighting, our streets are filthy due to building works! I could moan all day about it. I can't afford a decent house in Stirling as it costs about ВЈ250k just for a house in a nice area of the same size!!!! And the council tax banding is through the roof in those areas too. Arrrghhh.

Looks like mine is pretty average.

This year it is ВЈ1,230 for a standard three bedroom semi in a corner of Hertfordshire.

That's after claiming my 25% deduction.

My council tax is ВЈ69 per month, this includes a 25% discount
as a single occupant in a 3 bed terrace in West Midlands. I
feel that this is low in comparison to some charges in GB.

In wales, not as bad as you guys over the border. I pay Band F ВЈ145 per month. I have a large 4 bedroom home. The neighbouring Local Authority is extortionate though, and my home equivelent is about ВЈ175 per month. I am very lucky compared to a lot.
