She has one if she was born here. The hospital filled out the paperwork for you, as they have to witness it.
You need to contact the social security office and find out what it is. You will need to go in person, with her birth certificate and your ID as her parent.

Pretty much all the time, it's applied for in the hospital. You should have it very soon. It normally takes about 2 weeks. If it was applied for in the hospital when she was born and hasn't come yet, see if your local social security office can help you get the number and the card.
If it hasn't been applied for, then apply right away.

All children must have a social security number for that child to be claimed as a dependent and for various credit benefits. Exceptions to this rule are Amish or Mennonite children, or children who were born and died in the year of filing. If you do not have a social security number for the child, file Form 4868 to request additional time to apply for and receive the child's social security number.

Yes, you can claim her as long as she is under the age of 19, has lived with you for more than half of the year and she has not provided half of her own support.

Ask a tax professional.
"Daughter" is the correct spelling.

why doesnt she have one? and no you cant

all children born in USA **MUST** get a Social Security number within a short time after they are born. There is NO WAY you can claim her without the number. Such a claim on your return would be DISALLOWED by the IRS.
