The tax free personal allowance has increased to 6035 for everyone this month to counter-act the effect of the abolition of the 10% rate band. Everyone will pay £60 less tax this month and £10pm less from October until March next year. |

everyone on a tax code with the suffix L will see their tax code increase by 60 (£600.00), this is because of the removal of the 10% tax band, You will get 60.00-70.00 in september if monthly then 10.00 extra until march, if you are weekly 60.00-70.00 in the first pay packet after the 07/09/2008, then 2.50 each week until march. Also the national minimum wage increases in October so if you are on minimum wage then you pay will change again. |

I'm on the sick for mental health reasons so I don't pay tax. You have to be nuts to keep up with tax legislation anyway. Are you psychotic or a bit mystic? If you are a charity the taxman can add to donations given by taxpayers. The charity gives a simple form to fill in and you end up giving more than you've got. I don't know how it's done, but it seems to work and keeps things sweet. Good old Mr. Normal isn't rotten after all. |
