"No, they mailed out the payments today. If you mailed in your taxes this is how you will get your rebate. The Electronic payments do not come out until Friday. If you electronically filed.

This is wrong.

If you mailed in your taxes, but still chose direct deposit, you will have your rebate direct deposited, not mailed. E-filing and paper filing have nothing to do with it.
It is whether,or not, you chose direct deposit that matters, when it comes to how you will receive it.

Also, they are doing 800k direct deposits a day from now until Wednesday. They will take Thursday off as they prepare for a massive 5 million direct deposits for Friday.

That this how the first batch will be handled.

I know there were quite a few expecting to get their rebates today. I could only find a few people online that have received theirs already. So I looked up info that may clear up any confusion. Yes, the rebates have started to pay out today. However, not everyone in the first wave will be receiving the rebate today. Only 800,000 people will get it today which is only about 10% of those in the first group. Then another 800,000 will be paid tomorrow and Wednesday. The remaining 5 million people from the first wave will be paid as scheduled on Friday May 2nd.

There is NO way anyone got their rebate yesterday. It was Sunday- and all banks are closed!

We are right on schedule. I am in teh first round too....as long as it is before Friday I really don'r care. Im going shopping- and saving with my money! lol :0)

nope not yet darn it I am in the first grouping as well. Hopefully I will stop checking and then all the sudden the check will just show up before the bank closes today but I am hoping it comes before Friday in all reality.

I just read an article on this.There was a batch going out today,it said the direct deposits started at about 8:30 this morning.It also said they will be doing more Tuesday,Wednesday to total about 800,000 deposits daily.On Friday there is a batch of about 5 million going out.So I guess right now all anyone can do is wait.
I hope it ends up in your account soon.

I am also a 01. Hoping it will show up in my account overnight. Haven't heard of anyone that has received their stimulus payment. If it hasn't been sent out yet how are people receiving it? Strange.

I copied and pasted the below message from a website about the new schedule.

What is the new rebate schedule?

Logic would dictate that the rest of the dates would be moved up 4-5 days, but the official release has not be announced. Because the IRS has the new computer system in place, it may be possible that they are sent out earlier than anticipated.
