I had read on the turbo tax website that if you elected to have the fees taken out of your refund you would get a paper check for your rebate. The IRS says different so I would like to know if anyone got direct deposit cause when I filed through turbo tax I gave my bank info and got my money direct dep. thanks

I haven't got mine. I used Turbo Tax and I got my $$ direct deposited as well. I went back and checked on the refund that I received in Jan and it says it was deposited directly from the government. |

I used turbo tax and have been wondering the same question. I downloaded a copy of my 1040A and looked to see what the actual bank info was on the form that the IRS has. Sure enough my bank account # and Routing # was on my 1040A. So I tend to lean towards getting it directly deposited even though I elected to have fees taken out by Santa Barbra bank and trust. |

i was told if you used turbo tax you would get a paper check starting on may 16th because the gov sent refunds to santa barbarba bank and trust they then take there filing fee and forward the difference to you by direct deposit so if you filed using turbo tax you most likely will get a paper check starting may 16th. |

I filed through tubo tax and I still haven't received my check in my account yet and I had direct deposit. It should not matter how you paid for your direct deposit it is still considered direct deposit right.........Oh and my last two digits are 06...Something isn't right.......... |

If you used TT and had you fees taken out of your refund for the service you will be getting a check, even if you had direct deposit!!!!
If you paid with a credit card or debit card for the TT service you will then get the direct deposit. |

I also went through turbo tax and did direct deposit and I should have been one of the first to get a rebate according to my ssn. But, of course nothing yet. That seems to be the theme everywhere so far that noone has received theirs. |

I cannot find anywhere on Turbo Tax's website where it says unequivically that if you had your fees withheld from your return you will recieve a paper check...what I do know is this...the IRS says if you did not receive direct deposit from them you will receive a paper check...If you had your fees taken out of your refund I do not understand how your money could have come from the IRS directly...it would have needed to have been processed thru a 3rd party...the IRS is very clear that if your refund was sent to you thru a 3rd party you will recieve a paper check.
I will reitierate that I cannot find anything other than answers on Turbo Tax's fourm that is just like this one...I don't find an official release from Turbo Tax stating that fact. If you have can you please post it so we can refrence it in other answers... |

Okay, I've gotten conflicting answers on this because if you check TurboTax at this link it states about half-way down the page that you will get a paper check if you opted to have SBBT take out TurboTaxes fees...

On the other hand, I called SBBT via the phone number on their contact page and was told by their Rep. that the routing # and account # that is on your 1040 is where the IRS will send the payment via direct deposit.
Two different response with conflict outcomes, who knows? |
