I was wondering where those that got their checks that were to be mailed July 4th live. I live in PA and did not get it yet? I also got the letter saying I would get it by the 5th, but I was not counting on it to be here until Monday and it was not here.

I got it yesterday 7/8/08 paid my bills filled the gas tank, now it is gone :( |

I live in Houston, Texas and I have yet to receive mine and today is Tuesday. I really don't think that it matters where you stay because as far as the IRS website reads it looks like all the checks are scheduled to be sent out on a Friday but I've seen it where people have actually received their checks on Friday and some on Saturday. And usually when the IRS is mailing you a check it always is scheduled to come the next day. So this seems to be an error with them printing the checks and not actually mailing them. Thanks U.S. Government, you lift me up just to let me down. |

check your bank acct. it may have been direct deposited. it shouldn't matter what part of the country you live in; the timing was based on your ssn. |

I've yet to receive mine which was also slated for July 5th as printed in the letter I received last week. I'm in North Texas... I'm hoping it's in the mail when I get home. With the possibility of mail theft (although my mail box requires a key) and/or postal error, I won't be at ease until it's in my hands. I'm a general worrier that way. |
