It is to your advantage to file. You can still get money back.

I believe that if you received any form of income for 2006, you need to file a return. Even when I was in college and only making a few thousand dollars a year from minimum wage work-study jobs, I had to file a return. I am also currently on disability for 4 weeks due to shoulder surgery, and my employer told me that I will receive a W-2 form at the end of the year for the money I was paid while on disability, so that I could report it on my tax return. If you're really unsure about what to do, talk to a tax representative, like H&R Block.

I believe you do because you did have earned income from your former employer. Make sure though by asking s.s.

Not likely. Social security disability is not taxable for that amount.

No you do not have to file. The Disability is tax free up to a certain level based on your filing status. If the employer withheld taxes you can file to recover what was withheld. Good luck.
