Do I need to refile my taxes?
I found a deduction soon after I e-filed my taxes with Turbo Tax. I already received my refund what do I do? There is a $300 difference in what I received and what I should have received.
that sucks there is nothing you can do once you have filed once for a certin year its final lesson learned for next time

You can't "refile" but you can file an amended return on Form 1040X.

You can amend your return if you want. You have to decide if it is worth the hassle.
Is it an ironclad deduction, like mortgage interest, or one that could be disallowed, like claiming another charity deduction? That should be considered in your decision.
Gerry K

For $300, it's worth the time and effort to file an amended return, form 1040X. If you had found a deduction that would save you $5, it probably wouldn't be.
yahyanka
you should hire someone before you do your taxes so it doesn't happen.
