Do I put both jobs on my W-2?
I worked two jobs during the year. A tanning salon and where I currently work a hair salon. I made 8,186.00 at the hair salon and 2,001.01 at the tanning salon. Do I do two separate W-2 forms or does this mean I have to do another form?

If you need more information I'm 18 years old, no dependents, and my taxable interest for the hair salon is 1264.66 and the tanning salon is 257.79.

Please help, thank you

Thank you for all of your answers. I just received my W2 for the tanning salon this morning so I was wondering about filling out a 1040 EZ. Do I still fill that one out?

Oh, Im not sure what taxable interest means then. The total taxes that I got taken out is what I meant.

You file 1 tax return. This is true even if you get 20 w-2s.

Your total income is the total for the box 1s.
Your total withholding is the total for box 2s.

I have no idea where you got "taxable interest" from--jobs don't pay you interest and this looks to high to be just your federal withholding.

(The 6.2% for fica and the 1.45% for mc isn't refundable.)

You add them together and file one tax return.

Tim
You will receive two differnt w2's. You add these together to report on your income taxes.

Each employer should issue a separate W-2. So if the tanning salon and hair salons were separate businesses, you should get a W-2 from each one. (If they're under the same ownership, you'd only receive one.)

Hope that helps.

Your W-2 forms come from your employer . You may be referring to the 1040. You use one return. I don't understand how you received taxable interest from both your jobs .?

You don't "do" a W-2 form, you GET one from your employer. Each employer should send you a form.

Jss
Do not rush to file your tax return. Wait for second W2. You must report total income on your tax return.

You have to have a separate W-2 for each job you work. Each company should have you fill one out( W-4) when you start your employment. You can do your federal taxes online for free at www.taxact.com
