No problem. Employer will give you form P46 to sign to say that this is your only or main job. Whether or not you will be put on emergency code depends when your first pay day is. Employer shouldn't deduct any tax if before 05/04/08, the end of the tax year. As that is the cut-off date for emergency codes, your employer should put you on the new code of 543L as from 06/04/08, on a cumulative basis.
You will not get a form P11D, unless you are earning over £8500 per annum, and have benefits in employment.

if you don't have a P45 your employer will give you a form to fill in

What a load of rubbish people churn out on here.
Yes, you will get a P46 from your employer. If they dont give you one, ask for it - its their responsibility. You will not be put on code BR if you sign to say this is your only or mian job. You will be put on code 522L which is a normal code number and, as you say, you wont be earning enough to pay tax anyway.

You don't need a P45 - they're issued by your last employer as a record of your taxcode and income during the current tax year. Even if you had one from your last job it's too long ago to be relevant so your new employer can't use it.

They should provide you with a P46 to complete and forward it to their tax office to obtain a new taxcode on your behalf. They should use the emergency code (522L) in the meantime.

Unless there's anything unusual about your circumstances or benefits you'll probably get the same taxcode with an allowance of £5225 pa.

You don't need a P45. Your employer will give you a P46 on which you need to declare your income so far that tax year (zilch). They will send it off to HMRC who will issue a tax code.

Until you get a code, your employer will deduct basic rate tax. When you get a code, you'll get all the tax back.

Most employers will apply for your coding for you - if not, just contact your tax office (your employer will give you their details), explain your situation and you'll get a new tax coding. Good luck with the new job.

You will need form P.46 as soon as this is registered from your new employer you will be on 522L i would presume.

No it wont matter, if you dont have one they may place tou on emergency tax until it is resolved but it wont take long.

here is a link to a P46

What to do if you don't have the formsLost P60
If you've lost your P60 your employer can issue you with a duplicate - but this must be clearly marked as being so.
Completing a P46 if you've lost your P45
If you've lost your P45, you won't be able to get a replacement. Your new employer will give you a form P46 to complete so that HMRC can give you a code number for your new employment.
P11D
Your employer doesn't have to give you a copy of form P11D. But the law says they must tell you what details they've included on the form - even if you've left the job. It's usually easier for them to give you a copy of the form when they send it to the HMRC.

If you lose your copy, your employer should be able to let you have another one. If they can't, ask your Tax Office for a copy.
