Each council is potentially different. My area starts paying in May and finishes in February. A neighbouring county begins April and ends January. You will need to check with your Council.

It depends on the council and when their year starts. Most councils start their year in April and so if you are on a 10 month payment plan, you will not pay February and March. You really need to speak to your council (revenue department) if you need to know.

You don't have to remember anything. Just get your bill out and look on the front where it states months and payments. Easy.

If you're unsure, the best way to pay is by Direct Debit, then you won't have to worry about the payments, just having enough money in your account each month.

council tax is generally paid over 10 months - april to january inc so feb & march are 'free'

You dont pay Feb and March if your on the 10 month plan,Im on the 12 month plan so its a bit cheaper each month.
