Well buddy, $3100 is sounds good amount to receive as your monthly salary. But still, it depends on where you live and what you do. If you spend it wisely, i think it's definitely good pay to receive for single person use. |

I think you are doing quite well for 23.
One thing that I have learned is that it isn't about how much you make. It's about how much you spend.
I have seen families that seem quite happy at about $20k per year and I have seen a couple that makes $150k per year be completely miserable and broke. |

that depends what you do. if you just stand in a corner with a hat on all day, then yes.... what do u think u should be earning...? |

$3,100.00 a month is a nice figure. I think that if you have to ask, you may be doubting yourself. Or you;re just bragging. I am hoping that it is the former. As for the answers that other people provided, they are right. It depends on your expenses- personal, credit card bills, gasokine for your car, utility bills (if applicable), and any other expenses you may have.
Try using an Excel spreadsheet to figure out how financially healthy you are. If you don't want to use Excel, just use a sheet of lined paper and on one side, inlude all your earnings for the month and on the other side of the side of the column, write down all your expenses. That should give you a pretty good idea of how "good" your salary is compared to your expenses. |

Depends on where you live. I live in Manhattan that is not very good for here, but for most places it would be considered ok. |

Why do you need people to tell you that you make enough money?
Are you happy with your life? do you have enough to pay the bills and save some for a rainy day? What sort of lifestyle do you live and what is your occupation and goals in life?
If you are an investment banker who aspires to own a huge yacht and sail to the Cannes film festival every year, then you will urgently need to do something about addressing your pathetic level of income. Your name is obviously not attached to the right deals.
If you work as a bank teller and plan on having 2.3 kids and settling down in suburbia somewhere with a nice picket fence, then you have nothing to worry about. At 23, that salary seems huge to me. |

You don't think $37,200.00 a year in take home pay is enough? That's $18.24 an hour, based on a 40 hour work week take home! It is actually more, if you add taxes back in. What it the blue blazes are you complaining about? |
