In a word yes we do ! Due to rising food and gas costs and most people's paycheck's not rising along with those costs, people are cash strapped especially average hourly workers. I'm fortunate in that I earn more than enough to take care of my responsibilities but I have friends and relatives who are not that fortunate.
One of my best friends just lost his job and so for him it's been rough going ! So yes I'm in favor of another round of tax rebates ! I also feel those who need it should never be ashamed to apply for short term government assistance even if you aren't in favor of assistance sometimes you have to swallow your pride and make sensible decisions until you can get back on your feet. |

NO I am not in favor of another round - this one put the US many billions of dollars more in debt.
I realize that most people are happy to get extra money. Not too many people, rich or poor, think they already have too much money. |

The first one did not stimulate the economy as expected because too many people put the money in savings. Not only that, our government borrowed the money to do it. So I would say no it is not a good idea to do another. |

Certain people didn't even get a check in the first round, such as people on SSI...If people on SSI get a check in the second round (if there is another round) I would spend it on bills. |

NO! That was a massive waste of taxpayer dollars and did little to "stimulate" any economy aside from China's.
If there is anything in the future, expect something in the way of infrastructure improvements like replacing some of the thousands of outdated or unsafe bridges in the country. That will generate JOBS which generate taxable INCOME. THAT will stimulate the economy and is the way that the country finally recovered from The Great Depression. Giveaways (welfare!) never work. Jobs do!
The $163 billion that was wasted on the giveaway could have gone to replace thousands of the worst bridges in the country and would have created over 25,000 JOBS. |

I live on less than 18K a year and I wasn't worthy of the first one even though I pay taxes. So I really don't care if they give out more to people who make a whole lot more than me. People on pensions did not count, even though taxes are taken out of their pensions.
I will vote every fund raiser down, I will vote every tax increase down, and I will not vote for anyone who was in office this year.
