Do you need to file taxes seperately for each W2 form?
I do promotional work for several companies and receive a W2 form for each. Do I have to file for each individually or can I add the totals wages, taxes, and amounts of all and file one form?
Additional Details
That's what I thought...thanks a lot to everyone.

You only file one return for federal and one return for state (if applicable).

You add the W-2s together. Use a spreadsheet and add the gross from each, the fed from each, the state w/h from each and local w/h if you have it.

Consider using a professional

You neither must nor can file separately/individually for each W-2 from the same year. You must file a single return for each year with the total wages, taxes, etc., from all W-2's for that year. (However, W-2's for different years, even from the same employer, are reported on separate returns.)

Classy Granny
You only file taxes once each year. You use the total from all your W2's to get your total annual income.

beez
No. You submit copies of each W-2 with your return and base your tax information on the total of all.

Judy1
You not only can, but MUST add them all together for the year and file them on one tax return.

Add them all up and file one return. That's the only way you can do it.

Nicholas F
No, you can add all income (W-2s) on the one form 1040.

You add them all up on one return. Wow, don't confuse the IRS more than they already are : )
